We are delighted to announce that EIT 2026 conference will be hosted by Prof. Richard Bayford in Sheffield, the birthplace of the EIT.
Building on the rich tradition of previous EIT Conferences, this event offers a vibrant platform for researchers and clinicians from across the globe to share their expertise and insights into the medical applications of Electrical Impedance Tomography, Magnetic Induction Tomography, and Magnetic Resonance Electrical Impedance Tomography.
The conference will explore a wide range of topics, including:
- Clinical applications of Impedance Imaging
- Hardware for Impedance Imaging
- Software for Impedance Imaging
- Algorithms and Data Analysis
- Inverse Problems and Theory
- Bioimpedance, including EIS and the Dielectric Properties of Biological Tissues
- Related developments in Geophysics and Process Tomography with potential crossover to biomedical applications

Oral presentations
- Duration: 10 minutes presentation + up to 5 minutes Q&A
- Format: PowerPoint or PDF
- File naming: ID_PresentingAuthorSurname.pptx/.pdf
- Files must be uploaded to the designated session folder prior to the session start. Authors will be contacted directly with a link before their session.
A friendly technical support team will be around before morning sessions and during coffee breaks if you need any help.
Poster presentations

- Format: A0, portrait orientation
- Must include: Submission ID
1-minute flash slides presentation
- Duration: 1 minute
- Format: Single slide (PowerPoint or PDF)
- Minimum content: Abstract ID, poster title, authors names
- File naming: ID_PresentingAuthor_Surname.pptx/.pdf
- Files must be uploaded to the designated session folder prior to the session start. Authors will be contacted directly with a link before their session.
You will have 1 minute to introduce your work in the lecture theatre.
Briefly highlight your topic, approach, and main findings.
Further discussion should take place during the poster session immediately afterwards!
Proceedings
Following the long-standing tradition of publishing conference proceedings, all abstracts accepted and presented at the conference (both oral and poster) will be included in the proceedings with a DOI-accessible reference.
